Gabel1957 and Progetto Quid together in the name of upcycling and ethical fashion.

From the strength of female resilience, new, unexpected handcrafted creations can be born, capable of revolutionizing people's daily lives.

It is with this spirit that, on the occasion of Women's Day, Gabel1957 announces its collaboration with the Quid social project, which has been supporting vulnerable women for years, offering them the opportunity to "be reborn" through work and the creation of unique objects. Hence a new line of limited edition accessories, such as headbands, hair bands, clutches, shoppers and backpacks, all made with high quality fabrics supplied directly by Gabel and created by women for women.

The production process is based entirely on the principles of the circular economy: Progetto Quid uses the print heads donated by Gabel (unique fabrics that are obtained when at the end of each printing cycle and before the next one begins, two or more designs overlap , creating unrepeatable effects, which make that piece of warp unique) to create a line of accessories that are subsequently bought back by the Como company and put on sale online on the official e-commerce and in some selected GabelCasa stores. The headboards, previously considered production waste, are then recovered and become precious objects to be given new life.

“This partnership strengthens the human dimension of our Group even more - says Francesca Moltrasio, Communications Manager for the Gabel Group; - In addition to the attention to sustainability and people's well-being, to which the company has been constantly dedicated for decades, we believe in the ability of women to be reborn. The collaboration with Progetto Quid was born also for this reason, to underline the strength and enhance the creative potential contained in the resilience of women ".

Attention to the environment, solidarity, creativity and all-Italian style, these are the values that unite Gabel1957 and Quid, in a project by women for women; the target? for both companies 100% Made in Italy, change the world, one piece of fabric at a time!
